10 Plague Adventure

We're all amazed at how close to Passover we are.  The countdown has seriously begun because we started the 10 plague adventure today.  Today was the plague of blood.  Last night after the kids went to sleep, Jim and I put red food coloring in the various places in the house that hold water - the toilet, water cups, water cooler, dog bowl, etc.

This is one of the years when it is especially fun to do because we have a 3 year old.  He's not old enough to remember last year's "plagues", but he is young enough to be very excited about this year's "plagues".  He ran upstairs saying, "Mommy, there's blood!  Come look!" and he had a big smile on his face.  It's like a treasure hunt to find all the places that have "blood" in the water.  He just asked me, "Mommy, how did all the things turn to blood?"  I said, "We'll have to ask God." and He said , "Or, Daddy!"  LOL  That brain of his will be turning over all the possibilities today.

Even the baby's water cup isn't safe.

A cup of water on the counter and a crock pot soaking were also plagued.  I forgot about the water in the cup of daffodils until this morning.

The water cooler was a surprise.  He couldn't see the water until it came out because the bottle was empty.

When we add red food coloring to the toilet bowl, we add it to the tank also, so it's still red when you flush it.

The water pitcher in the refrigerator.

Today's plague is over.  We will see what tomorrow holds.
